Public Hearing – 2017 proposed budget

Meeting was called to order by Charly Ray at 7:00 p.m.

Present were:  Larry Nelson, Don Jenicek, Kelly Warren, David Hyde, Mike Garnich, Terry Ledin, Mike Yonan, Sue Jenicek, Jay Pringle, Jenny Murphy, Paul Norris, Butch Warren.

Review of the 2017 proposed budget took place.  Questions asked were all answered.

Motion to close was made by Jenny Murphy seconded by Terry Ledin.  Motion carried.

Special Meeting of the Electors of the Town of Bayview

Charly Ray called meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

Present were: Larry Nelson, Don Jenicek, Kelly Warren, David Hyde, Mike Garnich, Terry Ledin, Mike Yonan, Sue Jenicek, Jay Pringle, Jenny Murphy, Paul Norris, Butch Warren.

Tax Levy worksheet was reviewed.  Charly Ray explained that by putting the payment for the Backhoe/Building loan of $25,589 on the tax levy worksheet taxes would be raised to $193,280.

Discussion followed.

Motion was made by Sue Jenicek seconded by Terry Ledin to approve the Tax Levy in the amount of $193,280.   Yes 14, no 0.

Compensation of Town Officials was discussed.  Motion was made by Jenny Murphy seconded by Jay Pringle to raise the Clerk position to $8,000.00 annual salary.   Yes, 14, no 0.

Motion was made by Jay Pringle seconded by Paul Johnson to raise the Board and Treasurer positions by 10%.  Yes, 11 and 3 abstaining.

Motion to adjourn was made by Sue Jenicek seconded by Mike Yonan.
