Monthly Board Meeting July 11th, 2022

July 11th, 2022
Meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m. by Chair Don Jenicek.
Roll call: Supervisor Mike Garnich, present; Supervisor Bill Bodin, present; Chair Don Jenicek, present: Clerk Wanda Hyde, present; Treasurer Kelly Warren, present. Others in attendance were Mike Yonan, Travis Arnes, Oulu, Mel and Brad Olson.
Minutes of June 13th, 2022. Motion was made by Bill Bodin seconded by Mike Garnich to approve with edits. Motion carried.
Treasurer report by Kelly Warren – Checking $113,449.60; Equipment $3,189.66; Room tax $5,643.85; Contingency $16,381.21 and Tax levy $137,973.63.
Mike Yonan reported that the rain gutters would go on the Town Hall between July 11th -17th by Tim Swanson. John Cook will work on basement entryway and do sheet rock. Motion was made by Bill Bodin seconded by Mike Garnich to approve John Cook to do basement entryway and sheet rock not to exceed $2,500.00. Motion carried.
Mike Yonan talked to Nordin about doing the painting.
Citizen’s concerns and comments –
An ongoing issue on Kjarvick road was discussed.
Existing Land Use Plan was discussed.
Mel Olson mentioned that she would like to see a laptop budgeted in 2023 for the clerk position.
HFNP – Moved to August meeting.
Discussion of blacktop bid received from Northwoods Paving in the amount of $124,037.84 for Big Rock Road was discussed. No action was taken.
Discussion and possible action to purchase extra gravel. Table until August meeting for more information.
Discussion of earmarking $100,000 of 2022 funds for blacktop in 2023.
Roads report by Mike Yonan. Mike mentioned a possibility of grinding Bodin Road and will get a price.
Cost of diesel this year was discussed. Possible budget adjustment will be discussed in August.
Payment of bills in the amount of $29,042.33. Motion to approve and sign was made by Bill Bodin seconded by Mike Garnich. Motion carried.
Correspondence – No action was taken.
Next meeting is set for Monday, August 8th at 6:00 p.m.
