Monthly Board Meeting
December 13, 2011
Meeting was called to order by Larry Nelson, Supervisor in the absence of Al House at 6:00 p.m.
Roll call: Charly Ray Supervisor, present; Larry Nelson Supervisor, present; Al House Chairman, absent; Wanda Hyde Clerk, present and Carol DeMars Treasurer, present. Others present were: David Hyde, Mike Yonan, Jackson Ray, Caroline Ray and Deb Gierczic.
Motion was made by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson to approve the minutes of 11-8-2011 with the removal of closed session. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson to approve minutes of 11-29-11 which include Budget Hearing – Special Town Meeting. Motion Carried.
Treasurer Report was given by Carol DeMars: Checking $42,987.49; Savings $8,912.20; Tax Account $134,854.83; Equipment Fund $4,320.53; Room Tax $2,200.02.
Motion to approve payment of bills in the amount of $18,090.60 was made by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson. Motion carried.
Citizens Concerns and Comments –
Suggestion was made by Deb Gierczic that we post meetings at Valhalla instead of Washington Ave. No action was taken. Also, noted that Kjarvick wasn’t plowed one day.
Road Report – Mike Yonan Road Supervisor reported that he had been plowing, replaced one mail box, helping with Ryan in garage which is almost finished. Insulation is R38 in the ceiling and saved about $800 on insulation.
Old Business:
Town Hall rental was discussed. Motion by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson to change the Residential Town Hall Rental rate to $25.00 and Non- Resident to $50.00 leaving the security deposit and dumpster pricing the same. Motion Carried.
Bayview Park was discussed and decided to leave until spring and get the input of Parks Committee.
Conceal and carry – Motion by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson to post Town Hall probation of conceal and carry firearms. Motion carried.
New Business –
Mike Yonan would provide Clerk with a list of people who live on Kjarvick that letter would be sent to regarding right-of-way.
Election Board Members for Jan 1st, 2012 thru December 31st, 2013 was presented by Larry Nelson. Deb Gierczic requested being included on the list. Motion was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Charly Ray to approve said list. Motion carried.
Well was discussed. Mike reported that the water in existing well just isn’t there and in the past 13 years pump has been replaced 3 times and water is not drinkable. Well driller suggested drilling a new well in the spring. Tabled until April.
2012 Special Assessment – Motion was made by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson to not have any special assessment for 2011. Motion carried.
Correspondence – No action necessary.
Next meeting set for January 10, 2012.
