Monthly Board Meeting December 10th, 2019

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Charly Ray at 6:03 p.m.

Roll call:  Supervisor Don Jenicek, present; Supervisor Bill Bodin, present; Chairman Charly Ray, present; Clerk Wanda Hyde, present and Treasurer Kelly Warren, present.  Others present were: David, Hyde, Mike Yonan, Paul Johnson, Butch Warren and Linda Jorgenson.

Minutes of 11/12/2019.  Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Bill Bodin to approve with suggest changes.  Motion carried.

Minutes of 11/20/2019.  Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Bill Bodin to approve as presented.  Motion carried.

Rental of equipment to help with snow removal is to come from Equipment Fund.

Treasurer report by Kelly Warren.  Checking $11,322.73; Equipment Fund $5,106.37; room tax

$10,458.97 and tax levy account $1,001.04.

Citizen’s concerns and comments –No comments at this time.

Parks Committee is looking to replace three members in March.  Doug Ament expressed an interest in

being a member of the Parks Committee.  Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Bill Bodin to place Doug Ament on the Parks Committee.  Motion carried. We are still looking for two interest people to be on the Parks Committee.

Election Board Members for the next two years was presented by Wanda Hyde. Motion to approve list of Election Board Members was made by Charly Ray and seconded by Don Jenicek.  Motion carried.

Road Report –   

Charly Ray started by thanking Mike Yonan, Butch Warren, Jim Maki and Bob Olson for their work with clearing the town roads with all the challenges that took place.  Mike Yonan being snowed in, Butch Warren snowmobiling to shop to find no power to open overhead door.  There were equipment breakdowns such as blew a hose on Sunday (McCoy closed) was able to connect with Bayfield County Highway to replace hose.  Mike Yonan reported he had ordered a set of chains for the grader and would be ordering chains for the dump truck too.  Mike Yonan also suggested looking into a big loader with plow on it that could also be used in the Summer as a loader.  Charly Ray suggested a forwarder as another option.

Payment of the bills in the amount of $15,044.25.  Motion was made by Bill Bodin seconded by Don Jenicek to approve as presented.  Motion carried.

Mike Yonan reported that he had completed the application for the 90/10 one-time windfall.

National Park Service is looking for someone to serve on an Advisory Committee on a volunteer basis.

Next meeting is set for January 14th, 2020 at 6 p.m.

Motion to adjourn was made by Bill Bodin seconded by Don Jenicek.
