Monthly Board Meeting February 13th, 2018

Meeting was called to order at 6:03 p.m. by Charly Ray.

Roll call:  Supervisor Larry Nelson, present; Supervisor Don Jenicek, present; Chairman Charly Ray, present; Clerk Wanda Hyde, present and Treasurer Kelly Warren, present.  Others present:  Dave Warren, Mike Yonan, Bill Bodin, Bob and Nicola Cuty and John Sopiwnik.

Minutes of January 9th, 2018.  Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson to approve as presented.  Motion carried.

Treasurer Report by Kelly Warren.  Checking $473,581.37; equipment $4,829.26; Room Tax $873.51 and Tax levy $117,107.60.

Citizens’ Concerns and comments –

Bob Cuty stated that he had received the permit for Echo Dell at HFNP.

Roads report – Mike Yonan reported that the City of Washburn might want Town of Bayview to do some brushing in the City.  They would also like Jim Maki to weld their plow for their truck.  Jim would need to bill the City direct for his time.

Discussion WI DOT access points to STH 13 took place.  It was decided to sign all access points except Burlager, Maki, Bodin and Whiting Roads.  Those need work before signing.  Charly Ray would take care of this mailing.

5 year Road plan was reviewed.

Discussion and possible action on archaeological research request at HFNP.  It was decided to table until we had more information.  Larry Nelson was going to  contact Mark J Dudzik from the DNR.

Xcel Powerline Update was given by John Sopiwnik.  There will be more listening sessions.  Preferred route would be through county land.  #1 Public open house (no date has been set yet). #2 Panel of their engineers to determine best route.

Discussion and possible action supporting request to repair damage to AINL.  It was decided that Town of Bayview should be added to the letter of support.  Charly will send note to add the Town of Bayview to letter.

Payment of bills in the amount of $336,289.65.  Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson to approve as presented and sign.  Motion carried.

Charly noted that STH 13 Scenic Byways would be meeting on February 19th.

Next meeting is set for March 20th at 6 p.m.
