Monthly Board Meeting
July 9^th, 2013

Meeting was called to order at 6:40 by Chairman Charly Ray.

Roll Call:  Supervisor Larry Nelson, present; Supervisor Greg Rozier, present; Chairman Charly Ray, present; Treasurer Carol DeMars, present and Clerk Wanda Hyde, present.  Others present were:  David Hyde, John Carlson, S. Michael Yonan, Paul Norris, Jay Pringle, Rita Sharp, Robert Sharp, Deb Gierczic, Sue Jenicek, Don Jenicek, Bill Erickson, Mike BeBeau and Sage Tauber of Excel.

Motion was made by Greg Rozier, seconded by Larry Nelson to approve minutes of June 10^th, 2013 with changes marked by Charly Ray.  Motion carried.

Treasurer Report was given by Carol DeMars.  Checking$39,357.03; Tax Account $27,497.72; Equipment Fund $2,230.01 and Room Tax $4,445.97.

Payment of bills in the amount of $32,965.47.  Motion was made by Greg Rozier seconded by Larry Nelson to approve and pay bills as presented.  Motion carried.

Citizens Concerns and Comments:

Paul Norris stated that he would not be moving Dryer Road to the rail road grade as he was moving to Whiting Road.

Sage Tauber representing Xcel Energy reported on the line going thru Town of Bayview called “Bay Loop”.  She reported why this loop will be necessary and proposed locations.  There will be a public hearing in August.

Class A Building permit request by Suzette Erickson/Robert Johnson was presented by Bill Erickson.  Motion to approve permit was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Charly Ray.  Motion carried.

Road Report –

Big Rock Road & Little Sioux crossing was tabled until August.  DNR involvement was discussed and Larry Nelson will set up a date with Bill Clark for onsite meeting.

TRIP – No paper work yet – tabled until August

Road Committee was requested to look at and develop Road Management Plan and 5 year Road Improvement Plan.

Northland Lawn & Sports as a backhoe that can be rented for $2800 for a month, for purposed projects.  Motion was made by Greg Rozier seconded by Larry Nelson to approve this expenditure for rent of a backhoe for one month.  Motion carried.

It was noted that Jim Maki will be retiring October 27^th.

Old Business –

Town of Bayview Roads and Parks Survey by Charly Ray was reviewed.  Suggested changes were made and Charly will take care of this and get it back to Clerk for mailing. A stamped return envelope was suggested by Charly Ray.

Charly Ray reported on the potential land acquisition.

New Business –

Update on time card was tabled until August.

Correspondence – No action necessary.

Next meeting was set for August 13^th, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.
