100th Annual Meeting – Town of Bayview
April 16th, 2013 – Bayview Town Hall

Call to Order – Past Chairman Al House called the 100th Annual Meeting for the Town of Bayview to order at 7:00 p.m.

Attendance:  David Hyde, Greg Rozier, Larry Nelson, Carol DeMars, Charly Ray, Paul Norris, Deb Gierczic, Rita Sharp, Robert Sharp, Linda Jorgenson, Don Jenicek, Sue Jenicek, Ulf Gafvert, Jamie Warren and Judith Peyton.

Minutes from the 99th Annual Meeting and Financial Statement for 2012 were available.

Past Chairman Al House asked for a motion to dispense with the reading of the 99th Annual Meeting Minutes.

Motion to dispense with reading of the 99th Annual Meeting minutes was made by Paul Norris seconded by Larry Nelson.  Voice vote of 15 yes and 0 no.  Motion carried.

Motion to approve the 99th Annual Meeting Minutes was made by Linda Jorgenson seconded  by Paul Norris.  Voice vote of 15 yes and 0 no.  Motion carried.

2012 Financial Report was reviewed.

Motion to accept the 2012 Financial Report was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Paul Norris.  Voice vote 15 yes and 0 no.  Motion carried.

New Business –

Short Term Line of Credit –This is a short term borrowing power that expires every year.  Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Robert Sharp to approve this short term borrowing power in the amount of $50,000.00.  Voice vote 15 yes and 0 no.  Motion carried.

Dumpster day – May 25th, 2013 8-4 p.m.

Emergency Service Phone Text – was presented  by Charly Ray new town chairman.  A list was passed and those interested signed up.

Small Boat Rack at Bayview Park where residents could rent space and padlock small boats or canoes was discussed.  Charly Ray would check with the Wisconsin Towns Association regarding liability and the Parks Committee would check with City of Washburn.  A public hearing was suggested for this issue.

Camping  at Bayview Park was discussed.  Some concerns for wildflowers and other rare plant life were brought up by Judith Peyton. Liability was another issue for brought up by Deb Gierczic.  Liability issue will be checked into and a Public Hearing would have to be held.

Rita Sharp questioned why there was no signage about Houghton Falls Nature Preserve.   Al House pointed out that the park was getting plenty of use without signage and there had been two articles in magazines promoting the preserve.

Old Business –

Al House stated that his 2 years as Chairman and 4 years as Supervisor was a learning experience.

Set the 101 Annual Meeting for April 15th, 2014 7:00 p.m.

100 Year Centennial Celebration will be July 27, 2013 3-7 p.m.

Motion to adjourn was made by Donald Jenicek seconded by Paul Norris.
