Town of Bayview Special Meeting
July 28^th, 2021

Meeting of the special town meeting for Houghton Falls Fence Scheduling was called to order by Chair Don Jenicek at 7:00 p.m.

Roll call:  Supervisor Mike Garnich, present; Supervisor Bill Bodin, present; Chair Don Jenicek, present; Clerk Wanda Hyde, present and Treasurer Kelly Warren present.  Others present were John Malinoski, Mike Yonan, Wendy and Tom Murphy, Bob Cuty, Butch Warren, and John Carlson.

• Houghton Falls fence scheduling.

We have received a Notice of Circumstances Giving Rise to Claim Pursuant to Wis. Stat SS 893.80. from attorney Steven J Slawinski, representing Wall Family Cabin Trust, Conor and Beret Casey, Suerth Family Trust, Mark and Shari Eggleson and Bert and Jane Kasiske.

Mike Ramon will represent Town of Bayview thru Rural Mutual Insurance.  Attorney John Carlson was requested to explain procedures if we disallow the claim.

Discussion followed.  Motion was made by Mike Garnich seconded by Bill Bodin to install 200’ of fence on the North and South side of HFNP with the exception of 40’ easement, fence to be 5’ high and having 10” off the ground to allow wildlife passage.  Motion carried.

• Discussion and possible action regarding southern parking lot and access point.

Don Jenicek noted that WI Coastal Management would look for part funding if parking lot were installed at Southern point if the Town Board decides to do this.  No action was taken at this time.

Motion to adjourn was made by Bill Bodin seconded by Don Jenicek.
