Monthly Board Meeting November 18th, 2014

November 18th, 2014
Charly Ray Chairman called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m.
Roll call: Larry Nelson Supervisor, present; Charly Ray Chairman, present; Greg Rozier Supervisor, present; Carol DeMars Treasurer, present and Wanda Hyde absent. Others present were: Gary Van Dyke, Joe Johanik, Tom Hmielewski, Laurel Gilbert, Wayne Gilbert, Tom Murphy, Kevin Hunt, Jennifer Croonborg-Murphy, Michael Murphy, Jacquelyn Brown, Paul Johnson, Cary Bouchard, Robert Bodin, Mike Yonan and Paul Norris.
Motion to approve 2015 Budget was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Greg Rozier. Motion carried.
Minutes of October 14th, 2014. Motion was made by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson to approve as presented. Motion carried.
Minutes of Bayview Special Board Meeting November 6th, 2014. Motion was made by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson to approve as presented. Motion carried.
Minutes of Town of Bayview Public Hearing on November 10th, 2014. Motion was made by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson to approve as presented.
Treasurer Report by Carol DeMars: Checking $18,899.60; Equipment fund $5,226.01 and Room Tax $9,073.39.
Motion to approve bills in the amount of $18,987.59 was made by Greg Rozier seconded by Larry Nelson. Motion carried.
No report was made by Parks Committee.
Mike and Jenny Murphy permit request for Hobby Farm was discussed. Town members voiced concerns and support of this Hobby Farm. Motion was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Charly Ray to approve and sign permit with requested limitation of 3 animals per units equivalent on permit. Motion carried.
Charly Ray read the minutes received from Parks Committee. There followed discussion on signage.
Tom Murphy had requested to be on the agenda regarding Houghton Falls safety concerns and management concerns. Tom voiced concerns regarding echo dells area and traffic reports from Bayfield Recreation. Requested a copy of this report. Hunting season was discussed, Mike Yonan will close the gates and put up signs that people would be trespassing on private property if they go around the gate. Cary Bouchard thanked the board for signs and procedures in place. He questioned why we are doing a brochure for local lodging.
Road Report – Mike Yonan plowed out loggers, crew has been plowing roads. Paul Norris reported that the Road Committee had taken a road tour and roads look good.
Charly Ray talked about road plan. The board would start process earlier using existing plan. He will see that the Clerk gets and updated plan.
Treasurer Bond for Treasurer. Motion was made by Greg Rozier seconded by Larry Nelson to approve Treasurer Bond and sign. Motion carried.
Correspondence – No action necessary.
