Town of Bayview
November 14^th, 2017

Meeting was called to order at 6:03 p.m. by Chairman Charly Ray.

Roll call:  Supervisor Larry Nelson, unable to attend; Supervisor Don Jenicek, present; Chairman Charly Ray, present; Clerk Wanda Hyde, present and Treasurer Kelly Warren, present.  Others present:  David Hyde, Butch Warren, Mike Yonan, Paul Norris and Paul Johnson.

Minutes of 10/10/2017.  Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Charly Ray to approve as presented.  Motion carried.

Treasurer report was given by Kelly Warren.  Checking $12,557.41; Equipment $4,828.89; Room Tax $6,176.83 and tax levy $2,061.49.

Citizen’s Concerns and Comments –

Paul Norris commented that Whiting Road was like a skating rink from Jenicek to STH 13.

Parks Committee minutes were reviewed by Charly Ray.

Bayfield Peninsula Energy Alternative.  Waiting to hear from Xcel.  BC Board members were meeting tonight regarding Energy Alternatives.  Committee for towns will present their findings and questions.

Resolution #17-02 Treasurer Bond was read by Charly Ray.  Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Charly Ray to approve and sign.  Motion carried.

Road Report was given by Mike Yonan.  They have been brushing and grading on Smith Fire Lane.  Mike had completed the TRIP application for Whiting Road.

Discussion and possible action on Special Weight Limit.  An Ordinance was reviewed but the board does not want to do an Ordinance at this time.

Three options were being looked into:

1. Close roads during spring breakup
2. Post roads when it gets wet
3. Establish Ordinance with permitted use of roads.

Charly Ray would give Jason Bodine language to add to bid letting for timber sales.

5 Year Road Plan was reviewed.

The Board corrected road projects for 2017 and adjusted 2018 and 2019.  Charly would make corrections to the 5 year road plan.

Bills in the amount of $44,711.80.  Motion to approve and sign was made by Charly Ray seconded by Don Jenicek.  Motion carried.

Correspondence

Wanda Hyde reported we have received a letter from Northwoods Paving regarding fixing issues in the blacktop on Maki Road.

Next meeting is set for December 12^th, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.

Motion to adjourn was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Charly Ray.
