Monthly Board Meeting March 11th, 2014

Town of Bayview
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Charly Ray.
Roll call: Larry Nelson Supervisor, present; Greg Rozier Supervisor, present; Charly Ray Chairman, present; Wanda Hyde Clerk, present and Carol DeMars Treasurer, absent: Others present: Paul Norris, Joe Johanik, Deb Gierczic, Sue Jenicek, Mike Yonan and Jason Gierczic.
Motion was made by Greg Rozier and seconded by Larry Nelson to approve minutes of 2/11/2014. Motion carried.
Treasurer Report was presented by Wanda Hyde Clerk in the Treasurers absence. Tax Account $99,360.80; Checking $51,953.03; Equipment $5,230.46 and Room Tax $6,327.71.
Bills in the amount of $477,661.10. Motion was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Greg Rozier to approve and sign the bills as presented. Motion carried.
Citizens Concerns and Comments.
Question was asked as to often do we crack fill. Mike Yonan stated usually every two years.
Joe Johanik presented the board with a bill for $30 for cleaning driveways after the plow goes thru.
Motion was made by Greg Rozier seconded by Larry Nelson to pay $30 bill. Motion carried.
Due to the fact that this was not an agenda item this motion is deleted.
Road Business:
Road report was given by Mike Yonan, steaming culverts, winging roads.
Big Rock slide update was given by Greg Rozier.
Road Committee Report was given by Paul Norris. Maki road from STH 13 to Washington Ave should be done this year. Westage and Friendly Valley were also mentioned. Possible future work on Bayview Park Road and Bodins should be included in 5 year plan.
Greg Rozier presented a plan for Maki Road in the amount of $26,650 for 1 mile.
Motion was made by Greg Rozier that Maki Road project presented for 1 mile of Maki Road in the amount of $26,650 should be done in 2014 as proposed, Larry Nelson seconded. Nelson and Rozier vote yes and Chairman opposes. Motion carried.
Parks Committee Report was given by Sue Jenicek. Suggestions for moving two portions of HFNP trails for pedestrian protection were suggested. Noted any trail changes would have to be approved by the DNR first. Parks Committee as a planned walk thru on May 13th at 5:00 p.m. Meetings for 2014 are scheduled as follows: June 3rd, Sept 2 and Oct. 28 at 6:30. Three members have expired terms: Linda Jorgenson, Karla Kedrowski and Sue Jenicek plus the committee needs to replace Bentley Brehm.
Committee recommendations would be made for the next meeting.
Old Business:
WTA Non-metallic Mining Policy. The first bill SB349 was pulled revised bill is … SB632 and AB816. Charly Ray would get more information regarding new bills for the next meeting.
Guski property possibly will close next week per Charly Ray.
2014 final Budget was reviewed reflecting the smaller balance in checking account due to the Guski property purchase.
Town of Bayview Financial Report for2013 was reviewed. Motion was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Greg Rozier to approve and present to electors at the annual meeting. Motion carried.
Next meeting is set for April 8th, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.
Charly Ray announced that the board would go into closed session per WI State Statutes 19.85 (1) (b) & (c) to review job applications then return to open session to take any action.
Charly Ray announced that the board would come out of closed session.
Job interviews will be scheduled for March 26th, starting at 9:30 a.m.
Motion to Adjoin was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Greg Rozier.
