Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Supervisor Don Jenicek.
Roll Call: Supervisor Larry Nelson, present; Supervisor Don Jenicek, present; Clerk Wanda Hyde, present; Chairman Charly Ray, absent and Treasurer Kelly Warren, absent. Others present were: David Hyde, Mike Garnich, Gary Morzenti Northwoods Paving, Mike Yonan, Carol Lindsey, Bob and Nicola Cuty, Jeff Nourse, Paul Norris, Jamie Warren and Heidi Hegstrom.
Approval of minutes of May 9th, 2017. Motion was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Don Jenicek to approve as presented. Motion carried.
Approval of Board of Review minutes of May 30th, 2017. Motion was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Don Jenicek to approve as presented. Motion carried.
Treasurer report was given by the Clerk in the absence of the Treasurer. Checking account $15,583.53; Equipment $1,828.48; Room Tax $3,027.84 and tax levy $33,053.29.
Citizen’s Concerns –
Paul Norris thanked the road crew for getting the Calcium Chloride on Whiting Road. Cindy Warren expressed her concerns about the speed on Frostman Road.
Road Report –
Mike Yonan reported that they had finished appling the Calcium Chloride. Spreader had broken down and caused a delay in getting the chloride spread. They are ready to start cutting grass.
5 yr. Road Plan – No action.
Blacktop Bids for Maki Road –
Northwoods Paving were the only bidder for this project. Estimated cost is $124,519.80.
Motion was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Don Jenicek to approve Northwoods Bid at $58.46 per ton. Motion carried.
Possible Action on Trial Work plan for Houghton Falls– Don Jenicek noted that the work day planed with BRC is scheduled for Saturday, June 17th.
Don Jenicek noted that the Annual Bayview picnic is set for September 9th.
Heritage Center update/discussion – No action taken.
Class B permit by Jon Nelson to add 2 additional mini storage buildings. Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson to approve and sign. Motion carried.
Class A permit by Jamie Warren to construct a residential home and garage in agricultural Zone. Motion by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson to approve and sign. Motion carried.
Class A permit by Jeff Nourse for term rental. Motion was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Don Jenicek to approve and sign. Motion carried.
Class A permit by Rebecca Haefner to have a seasonal cabin short term rental. Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson to approve and sign. Motion carried.
Liquor License for Valhalla View Pub & Grub. Clerk noted that Valhalla View Pub & Grub was up to date on everything. Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson to approve liquor license. Motion carried.
Liquor License for Good Thyme. Clerk noted that Good Thyme was up to date on everything. Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson to approve. Motion carried.
Payment of bills in the amount of $51,070.62. Motion was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Don Jenicek to approve as presented. Motion carried.
Correspondence – No action necessary.
Next meeting was set for July 11th at 6:00 p.m.
