Town of Bayview

Call to order by Chairman Charly Ray at 6:00 p.m.

Roll Call:  Supervisor Larry Nelson, present; Supervisor Don Jenicek, present; Chairman Charly Ray, present; Clerk Wanda Hyde, present and Treasurer Kelly Warren, present.  Others present:  David Hyde, Bob and Nicola Cuty, Mike Yonan, Steve Kreuser and Deb Gierczic.

Treasurer Report by Kelly Warren:  Checking $59,188.60; Equipment $7,959.43; Room Tax $5,495.74 and Tax account $23,401.37.

Citizens’ Concerns and Comments–

Steve Krueser presented a list of his ideas for gravel/aggregate placement.

Road Report – Mike Yonan reported that the Smith Fire Lane Project has been completed and Clerk has sent the bill to the B.C. Forestry Dept. Don Jenicek was very impressed with how our roads held up with current storm.

Charly Ray reported on progress for signs for HFNP, he is working with Jamey Penney-Ritter of BCRC.

Need was expressed for a sign on gate of hours.

5 year Road Plan – nothing new at this point.

Town Ordinance enforcement issues. 

• Explain protocol how to fill out citation
• Leave on car? License plate number only
• Amount of ticket fine or include court costs.
• No pursuit into preserve
• Warn people at first, take down license plate number, Sheriff’s Dept. will run plate and send a warning letter.

Don Jenicek explained some of his experiences while checking preserve at closing time.  Looking for more people to check gate at closing time.

Signs will make a difference.

Class A permit by Joseph Tarasewicz to use a RV with county approved sanitation until single family dwelling is built.  Motion by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson to approve and sign.  Motion carried.

Review 6 month Budget took place.

• Move $4000 worth of paid gravel to Road Repairs.
• Move overage of Culverts into Road Repairs.

Two year Assessor Contract was review.  Increase of $200.00 per year, bring yearly amount to $7,000.00.  Motion was made by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson to approve and sign.  Motion carried.

Payment of bills in the amount of $52,476.37.  Motion to approve and sign was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Charly Ray.  Motion carried.

Correspondence –

Mike Yonan to look into USD funding for FLAP funding for forest roads.

Clerk received a notice from WI Department of Natural Resources regarding Anthony Fischer filing of wetlands without permits in the Town of Bayview.

Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 9^th in the Town Hall basement.

Motion to adjourn was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Charly Ray.
