Town of Bayview
January 12^th, 2021

Meeting was called to order by the Chair at 6:05p.m.

Roll call:  Chair Charly Ray, present; Supervisor Don Jenicek, present; Supervisor Bill Bodin, present; Clerk Wanda Hyde, present and Treasurer Kelly Warren, present.  Others present David Hyde, Mike Yonan, Butch Warren, Mike Garnich, and Paul Johnson.

Minutes of 12/8/2020.  Motion was made by Bill Bodin seconded by Don Jenicek with Bill and Charly’s edits.  Motion carried.

Minutes of Budget meeting 12/8/2020.  Motion was made by Bill Bodin seconded by Don Jenicek with Charly’s edits.  Motion carried.

Minutes of Special town meeting 12/8/2020.  Motion was made by Bill Bodin seconded by Don Jenicek with Charly’s edit.  Motion carried.

Treasurer Report by Kelly Warren.  Checking $78,449.18; Equipment Fund $3,399.18; Room Tax $21.46; Contingency Fund $10,000.79 and Tax levy $540,108.64.

Citizen’s concerns and comments – There were none currently.

Class A permit for Mike Kurschner for short-term rental.  Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Bill Bodin to approve as it is compatible with Land Use Plan.  Motion carried.

Roads Report by Mike Yonan.  They have been sanding and scrapping on roads and cutting trees along forest road.

Charly Ray stated that the Little Sioux Culvert for work is out there on the radar with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife.

Plow truck purchase was discussed.  Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Bill Bodin to purchase new Western Star with stainless steel box and keep the existing plow truck as a spare and borrow the funds per approved budget.  Motion carried.

Skip #9 5-yr Road plan until after Caucus.

December bills in the amount of $13,711.72.  Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Bill Bodin

to approve and sign.  Motion carried.

Adjourn for Caucus.

 

Reconvene at 7:09 p.m.

Bills for January in the amount of $164,070.66.  Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Bill Bodin to approve and sign.  Motion carried.

Review of 2021 Budget took place.

5-year Road plan was discussed and will be updated for the next meeting.

Correspondence – No action necessary.

Next meeting is set for February 9^th, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.
