Monthly Board Meeting January 11, 2022

Meeting was called to order by the Chair at 6:02p.m.

Roll call: Supervisor Bill Bodin present; Chair Don Jenicek present; Clerk Wanda Hyde present; Treasurer Kelly Warren, present and Supervisor Mike Garnich excused. Other’s present were Paul Johnson, Butch Warren, Mel and Brad Olson.

Minutes of December 7th, 2021. Motion was made by Bill Bodin seconded by Don Jenicek to approve with one edit by Don Jenicek. Motion carried.

Treasurer report by Kelly Warren. Checking $272,779.22; Equipment $953.30; Room tax $7,978.74; Contingency Fund $20,002.69; Tax levy savings $423,477.68 and Equipment Loan $66,426.00.

Citizens concerns and comments – Paul Johnson of Bayview History Committee would like to add a 2- sided page to the town’s newsletter in February.

HFNP update – No current updates currently.

Approve position for HFNP was tabled until February.

Update on mold spore issue in basement. Don Jenicek reported that the work has been completed and he and Mike Yonan checked the work out, we will need to have someone do some painting and minor repairs in the Spring.

State Equipment Rates for 2022 were discussed. Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Bill Bodin to accept the 2022 State Equipment Rates. Motion carried.

Roads Report – Don Jenicek stated that we have the Western Star dump truck and have some minor issues and a recall on the radiator. The Western Star came with summer tires and Mike Yonan was working with Zifko Tires to get replaced.

Payment of bills for December in the amount of $11,860.12. Motion was made by Bill Bodin seconded by Don Jenicek to approve as presented. Motion carried.

Payment of bills for January in the amount of $113,110.87. Motion was made by Bill Bodin seconded by Don Jenicek to approve as presented. Motion carried.

Correspondence – No action required at this time.

Room tax discussion took place. We are still having trouble receiving our 6.5% Room Tax.

Next meeting is set for February 8th, 2022, at 6 p.m.

Motion to adjourn was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Bill Bodin.
