Town of Bayview
February 8^th, 2022

Meeting was called to order at 6 p.m. by Chair Don Jenicek.

Roll call:  Supervisor Mike Garnich, present; Supervisor Bill Bodin, present; Chair Don Jenicek, present; Clerk Wanda Hyde, present and Treasurer Kelly Warren, present. Others present were Bard Olson, Mike Yonan and Paul Johnson.

Minutes of January 11^th, 2022. Motion was made by Bill Bodin seconded by Don Jenicek to approve as presented. Motion carried.

Treasurer report by Kelly Warren. Checking $179,493.89; Equipment $8,399.76; Room tax $3,532.36; Contingency fund $30,002.87 and tax levy $581,205.35.

Citizen’s concerns and comments –

Wanda Hyde stated that she would finish her elected term but not be running for the Clerk position in 2023.

Kelly Warren stated she would call B. C. Zoning regarding the Room tax permits.

Mike Yonan reported that Mike Fitzgibbon does not like the use of calcium chloride on Whiting Road.

Town Picnic will be held June 11^th, 2022, at Bayview Park from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. The town will provide the brats and water and soda, otherwise will be potluck.

Review of Town Newsletter took place. Motion by Mike Garnich seconded by Bill Bodin to approve the Newsletter with one minor correction to elections. Motion carried.

Town Hall building repairs/improvements. Mike Yonan stated that we are on the list with contractors for in the spring. Board would like to see estimates of costs.

HFNP Update – nothing to report currently.

Ambassador Position for HFNP was reviewed. Motion was made by Mike Garnich seconded by Bill Bodin to increase hourly wage to $15 based on 20 hours per week with a $500 bonus if the person completes the season and to post position. Motion carried.

Roads Report – Mike Yonan reported that they have been plowing and shelfing whole town. Salt/sand intersections. Mike Yonan will be looking into Federal dollars for roads, and he will do the online seminar this week.

Payment of Bills in the amount of $233,416.91. Motion was made by Bill Bodin seconded by Mike Garnich to approve bills as presented. Motion carried.

Correspondence – no action necessary.

Wanda Hyde handed out the Tax levy/Mill Rate with current loans to the board,

Wanda Hyde handed out the Annual Report for board review, action would take place at the March meeting.

Next meeting is set for March 8^th, at 6 p.m.
