Monthly Board Meeting
February 14th, 2012
Meeting was called to order by Al House, Chairman at 6:00 p.m.
Roll Call: Larry Nelson Supervisor, present; Charly Ray Supervisor, present; Al House Chairman, present; Wanda Hyde Clerk, present; Carol DeMars Treasurer, absent. Others present: Mike Yonan, David Hyde and Deb Gierczic.
Motion to approve minutes of January 10th, 2012 was made by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson. Motion carried.
Treasure report was given by Wanda Hyde: Checking $52,662.37; Regular Savings $143,768.13; Tax Account $521,712.00; Equipment Fund $4,321.07 and Room Tax $2,200.24.
Motion to approve and pay February bills in the amount of $759,111.78 was made by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson. Motion carried.
Citizens Concerns & Comments –
Deb Gierczic complemented the committee on the new windows in town hall.
Road Report –
Road Supervisor, Mike Yonan, reported that they were catching up on projects while there is no snow.
Mowing operations discussed.
Old Business –
Ordinance regarding right of way was read by Al House. Motion was made by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson to approve, sign and post Ordinance 12-01. Motion carried. Al House will post on boards and Wanda Hyde will post in Daily Press.
Camera’s – Motion was made by Al House seconded by Charly Ray to authorize Mike Yonan to purchase a camera for town surveillance. Motion carried.
Blade saw – Mike Yonan was told to keep looking.
Lawn Mower – was removed from agenda.
New Business –
Plasma Cutter – Mike reported that he found one, a Hobart $1596. Motion was made by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson allowing Mike and Al to check out the possibility of borrowing a plasma cutter from the DNR and/or purchasing the Hobart. Motion carried
Correspondence – No action necessary.
Next meeting was set for March 13th, 2012 at 6:00 p.m.
Motion to adjourn was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Charly Ray.
