Monthly Board Meeting February 10th, 2015

February 10th, 2015
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Charly Ray at 6:03 p.m.
Roll Call: Larry Nelson Supervisor, present; Greg Rozier Supervisor arrived at 6:05 p.m.; Charly Ray Chairman, present; Carol DeMars Treasurer called in at 6:05 p.m.; and Wanda Hyde Clerk, Present. Others present: David Hyde, Joe Johanik and Mike Yonan.
Minutes of January 13th, 2015. Motion to approve as presented by Larry Nelson seconded by Charly Ray. Motion carried.
Treasurer Report by Treasurer, Carol DeMars: Checking $66,592.62; Equipment fund $5,226.41; Room Tax fund $9074.05 and Tax account $266,466.12. Carol also reported on taxes coming in and those individuals that needed a refund from town for overpayment of taxes.
Payment of bills in the amount of $44,378.03. Motion by Greg Rozier seconded by Larry Nelson to approve as presented. Motion carried.
Citizens’ Concerns and Comments: None
Road Business:
Mike Yonan, Road Supervisor reported that they had been doing a lot of sanding and ran out of salt sand, needed to order more salt sand.
Five year Road Plan – No changes at this time.
Gravel bids – Charly stated that if we did a contract we would need a contract where we weren’t locked in on given quantity when we might have to use dollars somewhere else.
Paul Norris was authorized to check around to see what other towns were doing.
Hot Mix – Road Committee has expressed that they would like hot mix placed on Bodin Road instead of lower Friendly Valley Road. Charly reported that we would not be eligible for TRIP funding again until 2017.
Old Business:
Charly reported he had attended a meeting of the Scenic Byways and they are doing a map with all beaches and parks on it.
New Business:
WTA 2015 District Meeting in Cable on March 6th was discussed. Charly decided he would attend and Wanda will see that he gets registered.
Business sign Permit by Bruce Peterson for Bait Shack was discussed. Motion to approve sign by Larry Nelson seconded by Greg Rozier. Motion carried.
Newsletter was discussed. Charly will do write up regarding projects finished and coming up in this year. Mike will do a report on roads and Wanda will get election information ready for the public.
Correspondence – No action necessary.
Road Aid Request is due to the County by March 2nd. Wanda and Mike would take care of.
Wanda reported that The Daily Press stated Good Thyme is owned by Gene Bowers but Renee Holman produced documentation where Gene is an employed manager of the Restaurant not owner.
Next meeting is set for March 10th, 2015 6:00 p.m.
