Meeting was called to order by Chairman Charly Ray at 7:00 p.m.
Roll call: Supervisor Larry Nelson, present; Supervisor Don Jenicek, present; Chairman Charly Ray, present; Clerk Wanda Hyde, present and Treasurer Kelly Warren, present. Others present: Wendy Peterson, Mike Garnish, Al House, Joe Johanik, Mary Johanik, Mike Bailey, Jo Bailey, Darlene Mick, Robert Mick, John Carlson, Butch Warren, Ken Cadotte, Mark Eggelson, Greg Radtke, Bob Sharp, Rita Sharp, R. Charbeneau, R. Granger, Diann Granger, Cary Bouchard, Tom Murphy, Jeremy Kuehl, Alice Cadotte, and Ken Cadotte.
Open Blacktop bids for Houghton Falls Road as follows:
Angelo Luppino, Inc. 59.54 per ton 2130 Estimated total $126,820.00.
Northwoods Paving, Inc. 57.84 per ton 1976 Estimated total $114,291.84.
Discussion followed on why Houghton Falls Road instead of Maki or Whiting Road.
Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson to accept the bid of 57.84 per ton estimated tonnage 1976 to pave Houghton Falls Road and to enter into a contract with Northwoods Paving, Inc. for the bid amount contingent on project completion in 2016 and after entering into an agreement with Frank (Woody) Peterson to guarantee payment to the town in the amount of one-half the bid amount and authorize the Chairman and the Clerk to enter into both the agreement with Frank (Woody) Peterson and contract with Northwoods Paving, Inc. Motion carried.
Larry Nelson requested that we put possible blacktopping of Maki Road on the next agenda.
Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson to borrow $45,000.00 from Bremer Bank in Washburn and to authorize the Chairman and Clerk to sign all necessary documents associated with loan. Motion carried.
Motion to adjourn was made by Don Jenicek, seconded by Charly Ray.
