Town of Bayview
April 17^th, 2018

Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairman, Charly Ray.

Roll Call:  Supervisor Larry Nelson, present; Supervisor Don Jenicek, present; Chairman Charly Ray, present; Clerk Wanda Hyde, present and Treasurer Kelly Warren, present. Other present:  David Hyde, Mike Yonan, David Warren, Kelly Warren, Mike Garnich, Sue Jenicek, Don Jenicek, Bob and Nicola Cuty, Joe Russo, Ulf Gafvert, Paul Johnson, Rita Sharp, Robert Sharp, Susan Rusch, Linda Jorgenson and Larry Nelson.

Approval of Minutes March 20^th, 2018.  Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson.  Motion carried.Treasurer report by Kelly Warren. Current balances:  Checking $59,319.12, equipment $4,829.49, Room tax $6,952.23 and tax levy $117,136.25.

Citizen’s concerns:  Nothing at this time.

Road Report by Mike Yonan.  Crew has caught up on the plowing after recent storm.  A culvert on Whiting road is frozen.  Forest roads are in bad shape after snow and long spring break-up.

5 year road plan- Nothing new at this time.

Parks Committee report.

Mark Smith will be renewing his term for three years.  Motion was made by Charly Ray seconded by Larry Nelson to approve Mark’s new term. Motion carried. Charly Ray will check to see if Paul Bunch is still interested in being on Parks Committee.

Next Parks Committee meeting will be June 5^th at 7:00 p.m.

Houghton Depot Project.  Charly Ray has been talking with Washburn Heritage. Washburn Heritage Assoc. will have someone look at the building to see if this is something they would be interested in.  Charly Ray has also been checking with John Carlson regarding town liability regarding the Depot building.

Xcel Powerline.  Charly Ray attended update workshop on April 4^th.  The group made up of local residents recommended that Xcel us existing right of way.

Payment of bills in the amount of $11,944.60.  Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson to approve and sign.  Motion carried.

Open book will be May 17^th, 2018 3-5 p.m.

Board of Review will be May 29^th 6- 8p.m.

Correspondence – No action necessary.

Charly Ray provided Wanda Hyde with copy of Bayfield County Health Grant for HFNP.

Next meeting will be May 8^th at 5:00 P.M.

Motion to adjourn was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Don Jenicek.
