Town of Bayview
March 11, 2025
Meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m. by Chair.
Roll Call: Chair Don Jenicek, present; Supervisor Bill Bodin, present; Supervisor Mike Garnich, present via phone; Clerk Kim Suske, present; Treasurer Kelly Warren, present.
Others in attendance: Mike Yonan
Approval of Town Board Meeting Minutes from 02/11/2025: Motion made by Mike Garnich to approve as written; seconded by Bill Bodin. Motion carried.
Approval of Closed Session Town Board Meeting Minutes from 02/11/2025: Motion made by Bill Bodin to approve as written; seconded by Mike Garnich. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report by Kelly Warren: Checking $ 48,009.07; Equipment $ 6401.58; Room Tax $ 8828.94; Contingency Fund $ 24,509.29; and Tax Levy Savings $ 144,649.98.
Citizen’s Concerns and Comments: Town was asked to repair a mailbox that was knocked down when snow from the plow hit it.
Review of 2024 Financial Report for April Annual Meeting: Board reviewed Financial Report. Bill Bodin suggested adding loan information to the report including interest rate and length of loan/payoff date.
Town Hall cleaning: Sue Jenicek offered to clean the Town Hall until we can find someone else.
Houghton Falls Nature Preserve: Gate is open for now. No updates from the courts.
Roads Report: Weight limits went on but allowing logging loads on Kjarvick Rd. in the early morning for now. Western Star dump truck needs brake work. Doing culvert work.
Town newsletter discussion: Looked over newsletter and discussed mailing list. Motion made by Don Jenicek to approve the 2025 newsletter as submitted by Clerk; seconded by Bill Bodin. Motion carried.
Board Comments: Doug Kurtzweil dropped off a Town of Bayview plat book from the 1930’s.
Payment of Bills: Motion made by Bill Bodin to approve payment of Town bills from February 11, 2025 to March 11, 2025 in the amount of $748,479.22; seconded by Don Jenicek. Motion carried.
Correspondence: None.
Next Town of Bayview Regular Board meeting is set for April 15, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Will suspend if needed to go into Annual Meeting at 7 p.m.
Moton to adjourn was made by Bill Bodin; seconded by Don Jenicek. Meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
