Voter Information:

Qualified Voters:
A qualified elector is a U.S. citizen who will be 18 years of age or older on election day, is not a felon, and has resided in the ward or municipality where he or she wishes to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election. To Register to Vote:
Voter registration applications and information can be found at elections.wi.gov.  To register to vote online visit myvote.wi.gov.  Online voter registration closes 3 weeks prior to any election but after that you may contact the town clerk to set up a time to register in person.  To register to vote in person on the day of an election, please be sure to bring a photo identification with current mailing address OR a photo identification along with one item with your current mailing address to prove your residency such as a utility bill, bank statement, or any of the items listed on the bottom of the registration form

Absentee Voting:
Any qualified elector unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may vote early using an absentee ballot, either in person or through the mail. The elector must be registered to vote in order to receive an absentee ballot.

In-person absentee voting in Wisconsin begins 14 days before each election and ends at 5 p.m. the Sunday before the election. Voting hours are determined by each individual municipality. There are several ways to request an absentee ballot be sent to you by mail.  You may request an absentee ballot using this link:  myvote.wi.govOr, you may download a Wisconsin Application for Absentee Ballot at elections.wi.gov and mail it to your Town Clerk along with a copy of your photo ID. Or, you may submit a written request for an Absentee Ballot by sending a letter to your Town Clerk--letters to your Town Clerk can be sent by mail or email and must include your name, physical address (voting address), mailing address (where you want the ballot sent), date of birth, and signature; you need to state which election the request is for and include a copy of your photo ID. You can put in a request for one election or for all elections for the current year. This request must be made with adequate time before the election in order for an absentee ballot to be SENT to you--with mailing times through the USPS, this could take up to two weeks.  Please note, the deadline for making application to receive an absentee ballot by mail is 5 p.m. on the fifth day before the election. When returning the absentee ballot, it must reach the Town Clerk by 8 p.m. on election day.  If you feel that it will not reach the Town Clerk by mail, you may bring it to the polls.

Special absentee voting application provisions apply to electors who are indefinitely confined to home or a care facility, in the military, hospitalized, or serving as a sequestered juror. If this applies to you, contact your Town Clerk. Military electors should contact the Town Clerk regarding the deadlines for requesting or submitting an absentee ballot.
