Monthly Board Meeting November 15th, 2016

Call to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairman, Charly Ray.
Roll call: Supervisor Larry Nelson, present; Supervisor Don Jenicek, present; Chairman Charly Ray, present; Clerk Wanda Hyde, Present and Treasurer Kelly Warren, present. Others present: David Hyde, Mike Garnich, Mike Yonan, Sue Jenicek, Jay Pringle, Jenny Murphy, Paul Johnson, Paul Norris, Butch Warren, Michael Weisplenning, Ron Bergin, Jason Holmes, Carol Fahrenbourg and Carolyn Krueger.
Minutes of October 11th, 2016 and October 19th, 2016. Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson to approve minutes as presented. Motion carried.
Treasurer Report was given by Kelly Warren. Checking $20,765.16; Equipment Fund $9,010.28;
Room tax $9,360.15 and Tax savings $2,405.62.
Citizen’s Concerns and Comments – None
Parks Committee Report –
Pay Master building is complete except for the storyboards. It was decided to wait on those until spring.
Depot Project was reported on by Jenny Murphy. A Bayview Chapter of the Bayfield County Historical Society was proposed. Restoring the depot would need town or private land to locate the buildings. Ideally this would become the site for a town history center. The historic society could then raise funds to have building moved after the ground is frozen. The Board gave permission to move ahead with this project.
Resolution #16-07 for treasurer bond to county for receiving taxes. Motion made by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson to approve and sign. Motion carried.
Class B Permit by Bayfield County Forestry to create trailhead to access ski and bike trails including parking and information Kiosk off Whiting Road. Motion was made by Larry Nelson seconded by Don Jenicek to approve and sign. Motion carried.
Road report by Mike Yonan. Have been trimming trees. Gate at Houghton Falls Nature Preserve had an issue with the time change. Has been fixed. It has been reported residents have been getting flats on upper Friendly Valley Road. The town has investigated but has yet to find a problem. Will keep reviewing.

Discussion of paving E. Maki Road plans for 2017 took place.
Charly Ray went over the plans for 2017 and 2018. Possible Bridge Aid discussed for culvert on W. Maki Road.
Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson to temporarily adjourn at 7:00 p.m. for Town of Bayview Budget Hearing. Motion carried.
Reconvene in regular session at 7:59 p.m.
More discussion on 5 year road plan took place and Charly Ray will come up with a new draft for the board to review.
Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson to approve 2017 budget with suggested amendments. Motion carried.
Payment of Bills in the amount of $274,472.55. Motion was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Larry Nelson to approve bills as presented. Motion carried.
