Road Business –

Road Supervisor Mike Yonan reported that the roads were snow covered and slippery.   Mike has been plowing and scraping roads.

Greg Rozier reported that Big Rock Road project should be started Monday.  Backhoes have not liked the cold temperatures but trees have been cut and stacked.  Everything has been roughed out.  Chary Ray questioned whether we have any documentation regarding the $20,000 overrun or more work. Greg Rozier stated no documentation to date but will get confirmation.

Road Committee – Paul Norris reported that the committee would like to see the town go forward with Maki Road.  Bring it to a 26’ wide road bed, taper shoulders to existing ditches with 4” gravel.    Westgate  – trees create a water problem every spring.  Motion was made by Larry Nelson to approve work on Maki Road from STH 13 to Washington Ave.  No second.

5 yr Road Plan was presented by Charly Ray.  Changes were discussed and Charly will update plan for next meeting.

Next meeting we will review budget to see what we have to work with for improvement of roads.

Use of Geotextile material was reviewed as a possibility for Maki Road.  Six foot culvert by Carlson’s on Maki road would qualify for bridge aid.

Old Business –

WTA – Non-Metallic Mining Policy was reviewed.  No action as board members needed more information.

Charly Ray reported that the Guski property has not closed although we have legally binding paperwork stating they will sell to town as soon as they have a clear title to property.
