104th Annual Meeting – Town of Bayview
April 18th, 2017 – Bayview Town Hall
Call to order by Charly Ray at 7:04 p.m.
Attendance: Charly Ray, Wanda Hyde, David Hyde, Bill Bodin, Paul Norris, Kelly Warren, Larry Nelson, Linda Jorgenson, Mike Yonan, Paul Johnson, Donald Jenicek, Jennifer Zienty and Butch Warren.
Minutes of 103rd Annual Meeting and Financial Statements 2016 were available.
Motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes from 103rd Annual Meeting was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Paul Norris. 11 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
Motion to approve minutes of 103rd Annual Meeting was made by Paul Johnson seconded by Bill Bodin. 11yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
Motion to approve 2016 Financial Statement was made by Bill Bodin seconded by Larry Nelson. 11 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
New Business –
Charly Ray noted that the Dumpster Day is May 20th, 8 – 4 p.m.
Paul Norris is concerned about paying back loans, doesn’t want the town to be struggling in the future… What are our future equipment needs? Norris also stated he would like to see Burlager Road finished.
Charly Ray noted that the board is concerned about debt so the new equipment and shop expansion loan was added to tax rolls to protect our road funding. Once this loan is paid off in five years, it would come off the tax rolls. The final figures showed a decrease in property taxes.
Charly Ray stated that the town was chipping away a projects in the 5 year road plan and this includes plans for Burlager and Maki Roads..
Mike Yonan likes moving forward like we have in the past 8 year. He also stated that Maki Road has always been an issue.
Paul Johnson stated that because of health issues in her family Jenny Murphy has asked to step down from the Heritage Center Project. He was going to head up a meeting with interested parties regarding paperwork and the need for 3 directors.
Next Annual Meeting is set for April 17th, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. per state statutes.
Motion to adjourn was made by Mike Yonan seconded by Bill Bodin.
