102nd Annual Meeting – Town of Bayview
April 21st, 2015 – Bayview Town Hall
Call to Order: Chairman Charly Ray called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Attendance: David Hyde, Mike Bunch, Paul Bunch, Mary Johanik, Chris Engfer, Joe Johanik, Sue Jenicek, Don Jenicek, Sue Radtke, Paul Norris, Kelly Warren, Jennifer Zienty, Shari Eggleson, Mark Eggleson, Darlene Mick, Robert Mick, Robert Bodin, Larry Nelson, Butch Warren, Ruth Kressel, Rita Sharp, Robert Sharp, Doug Summers, Linda Jorgenson, Jack Gunderson, Mike Yonan, Joe Russo, Bob Eder.
Charly Ray reviewed the purpose and scope of actions possible at the Annual Meeting of Electors per the statutes.
Minutes from 101st Annual Meeting and Financial Statement for 2014 were available.
Motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes from 101st Annual Meeting was made by Sue Jenicek seconded by Mike Bunch. 28 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
Motion to approve the minutes of 101st Annual Meeting with one correction was made by Don Jenicek seconded by Paul Norris. 28 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
Motion to approve 2014 Financial Report was made by Paul Norris seconded by Sue Jenicek. 28 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
Motion to approve borrowing $50,000 for short term line of credit was made by Bob Sharp seconded by Linda Jorgenson. 28 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
Dumpster Day will be May 30th, 2015 – 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Charly Ray explained work scheduled for 2015. TRIP project on Westgate Road, more gravel on Maki Road, Big Rock pavement patch on previous years project and blacktop patch on Friendly Valley Road.
Borrow to purchase of Pickup for town use. Motion was made by Sue Jenicek seconded by Linda Jorgenson to approve purchase of pickup and spending cap would be $25,000. After much discussion a motion was made by Mike Bunch to amend the previous motion to a cap of $30,000 and Joe Russo seconded. 23 yes, 3 no and 3 abstain. Motion carried.
Having and outside town audit was discussed at this time. Was decided that it was not worth the cost.
Paul Norris wished to thank all those who ran for election this year.
HFNP Sign on STH 13 was once again discussed.
Our poor Internet service was reported on by Joe Russo whom had attended at meeting and heard Mark Scribner of Centurylink speak. Was suggested that we contact Wisconsin Towns Association to see what we can do regarding the poor internet service. Charly said we would put this on Town Board agenda.
Next meeting was set for April 19th, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.
Motion to adjourn by Linda Jorgenson seconded by Joe Russo.
